About me

I offer solution-focused short-term therapy and conversational support – easily, quickly, and also online.
My goal is to help individuals and communities discover their unique
strengths and, through them, find tools to face all kinds of life
challenges.
I have lived abroad for nearly 20 years, both in Africa and Europe. Over the years, I've become very familiar with the cultural and emotional challenges related to expat life. I've encountered rootlessness, loneliness, feelings of worthlessness, and numerous unhealthy ways of coping with everyday life in unfamiliar environments.
Life abroad can be surprisingly difficult – especially in families where only one partner is working. The partner staying at home may start feeling frustrated or even useless if no meaningful activities can be found. That's often a good moment to pause and reflect on what you want from life and how to move toward it. Talking with someone who has been in a similar situation can be truly eye-opening.
Despite all its "glamour," life abroad can bring intense homesickness, no matter how much you longed for the move. Suddenly, daily life looks completely different than it did in Finland – people around you behave differently, and the culture may feel unfamiliar or even alienating. Adapting takes time, effort, and a shift in mindset. When friends don't appear easily in your new surroundings, the resulting loneliness and anxiety can be overwhelming.
Don't go through it alone – feel free to reach out, and let's talk.
I have also volunteered as a support person for people struggling with various addictions. In those situations, simply having someone to listen is often the most important thing. And to know that there's always hope, even if it doesn't feel like it in the darkest moment. Sometimes you don't need to take it one day at a time – one moment at a time is enough. Reflecting together really does help.
In my professional career, I've worked as a teacher and researcher at university, and as a consultant and lecturer in Finland, Estonia, and Ghana. Me and my husband have been entrepreneurs for over 15 years. My academic background is in business studies, specifically management and organizations. These days, I mainly give guest lectures and focus more on therapy work.
In my work, I explore the relationship between individuals and organizations. Especially with students, I often encountered deeply personal issues, which we broke down into manageable pieces and worked on finding solutions together.
There are no organizations without individuals – and valuing the individual is absolutely essential. Unfortunately, in today's world, this is often overshadowed by demands for efficiency. In my work with businesses, I aim to help individuals, groups, and organizations find ways to work together in a manner that benefits everyone.
My mission is to help people find their own strengths and solutions to life's challenges – big or small. Step by step, toward something better.
